Soundgas are renowned international gear botherers with a studio filled with vintage rarities. They specialise in the wilder, crazy outreaches of analogue synths, beats and general filth. This pack contains selections from their acclaimed Instagram feed (@soundgasltd) and features drum machines such as the Roland TR-808 and CR-8000, beatboxes by Acetone, Roland and Korg/Keio, and assorted tape echoes delays and flangers.
The world’s most coveted guitar effect – the EMS Synthi HiFli – makes an appearance (together with their modified 808) and assorted synths from Roland, EMS etc. Head Gear Head, Tony Miln, and Soundgas Chief Beard And Wearer Of Fez, Gid Sutton, have been making noises together for over 25 years: their background combining DJing, recording, production and general sonic obsession, means they can always be relied on to conjure up some out there rhythms and sounds. Rumours that they are forming a Soulwax tribute act are entirely unconfirmed.
