‘Nu Talkbox’ by Apollo Sound presents producers with something completely different – loops & samples made using a talkbox, an effects unit that allows musicians to modify the sound of a musical instrument by applying speech sounds onto it.

Typically, a talkbox directs sound from the instrument into the musician’s mouth by means of a plastic tube adjacent to their vocal microphone. The musician controls the modification of the instrument’s sound by changing the shape of the mouth, “vocalising” the instrument’s output into a microphone.

Talkbox is much more diverse, interesting and harmonic than say, the vocoder or autotune. For those who don’t have the opportunity to record and sample this incredible instrument themselves Apollo Sound has created this pack.

It will fit perfectly into most modern genres such as Future RnB, Future Bass, Chill Trap, Nu Disco, Chill Hip-Hop, Downtempo, adding interesting and unusual audio to your tracks. You can hear the effect in the demo track.

There are 91 talkbox loops and 162 one-shots recorded with the classic talkbox Rocktron Banshee, Ms2000 synthesizer, and two microphones: dynamic Shure SM-58 and Cardioid AKG C414. Beside standard loops & samples, you will also find REX2 sliced loops & sampler patches for Kontakt & EXS24.
