Fuse Audio Labs was founded in 2017 by Reimund Dratwa who has an experience of many years working for different big names in the audio business during which he created dozens of renowned analog modeling titles. It was initially intended as an engineering company that works for various partners, but it soon became apparent that it could also serve as a channel for our own ideas and allow us to pursue our vision. The same expertise that went into the aforementioned products goes into everything that we create.

The VCL-864U is an uncompromising recreation of an iconic tube limiter packed with powerful added controls and capabilities. This plugin is primed and ready to do incredible things for your mixes, but believe it or not, the limiter it’s modeled after has its roots placed firmly in wartime communications, not music. It was mostly used by the US military during the Korean War. Its original manual even included handy tips for how to keep the device out of enemy hands and several methods of destruction. Word eventually got out that about the device’s superior compression abilities, and it became highly sought after in communities of audio engineers and music producers.

Using modern circuit-modeling techniques, all aspects of the original model are mirrored in this plugin down to the smallest detail. A high-powered set of versatile features have been added, including switchable release times, a side chain high pass and a dry/wet control to streamline your ITB workflow. The result is a vintage tube limiter with an outstanding range that gives you everything from thin and transparent to gritty, distorted operation without ever losing its unique easy-going vintage vibe.

The VCL-864U includes:

– A precise emulation of the original circuit
– A compensated input gain control
– Selectable release time constants
– An optional side chain high pass
– Adjustable optional noise floor level capabilities
– A dry/wet mix
– A linear output control
– Uses for the VCL-864U

Tame and tone highly dynamic material including vocals, drums and orchestral tracks
Limit the dynamic range of your signals transparently or obtrusively
Squash your signals and then dial back the mix for parallel operation
Breathe gentle coloration into your sources
Add a unique, pleasant character to your mixes

The VQA-154 is a faithful recreation of a sought-after 70s 4-band equalizer module that made its way into many broadcasting and production studios worldwide. The plugin emulates the entire audio circuitry including the capacitor/inductor based mid band filters, the discrete output stage as well as the transformers.

This plugin is a very versatile and easy to use EQ which provides classy and pleasant sounding coloration that always sounds musical, no matter how far you push it.

The VQA-154 includes:

– a faithful emulation of the original circuit
– a gain compensated drive control
– continuous filter gains
– stereo operation
– linked operation
– an optional mid/side mode
– a linear output control

The VPRE-376 is a recreation of a sought after preamp module that was originally designed for broadcasting applications. The plugin includes a faithful emulation of the audio transformers as well as the discrete class A preamplifier and driver circuitry. Some convenient features, namely phase inversion, a continuous drive control, gain compensation, a linear trim control and VU metering have been added in the digital domain.

The VPRE-376 can be used as a coloration box and add subtle, sweet or gritty sounding distortion to your signals or just help to make them sit right in your mixes. Use the built in high pass to clean up your low end.

The VCL-25A is an authentic emulation of a 50s vari-mu audio leveler originally used in radio broadcasting. All aspects of the circuit including the transformers, phase inverter stage, the 6386 vari-mu circuitry as well as the output driver and the time-constant network have been accurately modeled. Some convenient features, namely comprehensive metering, input gain compensation, switchable release times, a linear output attenuator, adjustable noise floor level and a mix control have been added in the digital domain for more versatility.

The release time constants have been carefully selected in order to give you a wide range of compression flavors ranging from transparent to aggressive.

Plug-ins included:
– VCL 25A
– VCL 864U
– VPRE 376
– VQA 154
