In this detailed video tutorial series, studio expert Brock Jon shows you how to use Satin, u-he’s “Tape Construction Kit” to create everything from vintage analog tape vibes, to creative tape delays that can make your tracks sound huge!

Brock Jon first introduces you to Satin, then walks you through of all three “panels” of the Satin interface, showing you how you use each parameter in this esoteric, but easy to use tape simulation plug-in.

Brock then gets creative, demonstrating how to apply Satin to various tracks in your mix, including both individual drums and the drum bus. Next, he uses Satin’s tape-machine flavored saturation to give a bass track a vintage vibe.

Brock now shows you how to make guitars sound absolutely huge by using Satin to create an authentic tape delay effect, and demonstrates how to give a clean vocal recording a vintage analog edge. Finally, Brock reveals how to use Satin on the master bus mix to “glue” it all together with that classic tape saturation sound.
